Gillian Discusses Sewage Discharges on Greatest Hits Radio Sussex

Gillian was pleased to speak with Greatest Hits Radio Sussex, on Monday 27th March 2023, to discuss her recent talks with Southern Water and the proposals put forward. 

They've agreed to look into her 3 proposals to curb discharges at Chichester Harbour: 

1. More transparent, detailed monitoring: to show exactly what’s going into Chichester's water during the kinds of discharges seen across December and January.

2. UV treatment facilities at Thornham: to reduce any risk of harm, should discharges happen.

3. Priority given to sewer sealing around the Harbour: to prevent discharges from occurring in the first place.
