A27 Chichester bypass current status
The A27 Chichester bypass is one of 32 schemes identified by the Department for Transport (DfT) and National Highways for possible future funding.
The Secretary of State announced in March 2023 that schemes originally being considered as part of the pipeline of schemes for potential inclusion in the third Road Investment Strategy (RIS3) will continue to be developed, but for consideration for inclusion during RIS4 (beyond 2030), which includes the proposed A27 Chichester Bypass.
