Over the summer we have seen the new Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and his new approach to Brexit. It is clear that the current Withdrawal Agreement will not pass through the House of Commons despite the fact that 90% of Conservative MPs voted for the deal including Boris Johnson.
The Chichester MP has welcomed Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s ambitious environmental commitments today at the G7 Summit in France. The Prime Minister pledged £10 million to protect and restore the Amazon rainforest which is currently suffering from record numbers of forest fires.
On the 20th August 2019 the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson announced a £25million funding boost for hospices and palliative care services in England. The money will support around 200,000 people at the end of their lives.
Last week My Sisters House Women’s Centre celebrated their five-year anniversary. Some of you may not have heard of the Bognor based charity, but they are a lifeline to the women they have helped across the Chichester and Arun region.
Last week Bognor based charity My Sisters House celebrated their five year anniversary. The charity, set up by Julie Budge, helps women with domestic abuse, addiction, poverty, illness, and relationship breakdown.
Chichester District Council successfully bid for a £52,000 government grant from the Office of Low Emission Vehicles, in order to encourage more people to use electric vehicles and support existing electric vehicle drivers.
I am always impressed by how motivated the people in the Chichester district are to make a positive difference in our community and beyond. This determination came through when I recently met with a group of environmentalists and climate change activists in Chichester.
