Around seven acres of council owned land are being transformed as part of a Chichester District Council project. The site, which was a former quarrry and landfill is being regenerated to provide four new out of town retail units. Councillor Gillian Keegan, Cabinet Member for Commercial Services and Economic Development says "This is fantastic news for Chichester and we are delighted that the first phase is almost up and running. We are really pleased to be working with the Brookhouse Group and together we will be creating much-needed jobs for local people as well as more choice for shoppers. The development also brings unused land back into use, generating vital income for Chichester District Council which will go towards protecting frontline services for residents".
