Radiotherapy is a core part of modern cancer treatment and is second only to surgery in its effectiveness in treating cancer. About 40% of cancer patients who are cured receive radiotherapy cancer treatment.
The proposed improvement scheme for the A27 has been a contentious subject amongst constituents. I will continue to give this matter my attention and do what I can to support the objective to secure a viable scheme that will improve the congestion residents face on a daily basis.
Gillian works to support rural communities and businesses. Gillian represents a large part of the South Downs National Park and coastline from Chichester Harbour AONB to the Pagham Nature reserve that includes the Port of Selsey.
Gillian lent her support for the campaign to save the Tangmere air control tower at Tangmere airfield. The Tangmere airfield is of great historical significance to the area, having been instrumental in the Battle of Britain during World War 2.
Gillian has been working to address homelessness in the Chichester area. Currently there are between 60-80 homeless and rough sleepers in the City. Gillian has also been working on this issue nationally in her former role on the Public Accounts Select Committee.
Gillian is working to ensure people with Cystic Fibrosis get access to new medicines that could prolong and enhance their lives and is supporting the ongoing campaign by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust to ensure access to precision medicines.
